Itay.

Major (reserved duty) Itay Yehoshua, 36 years old, fell in the Battle of Be'eri on the 23rd of Tishrei, 10/7/2023, in his attempt to rescue families and citizens from hell. Itay served in the Golani Brigade. After his release, he was a reservist in the Senior Security Unit and the 36th Division Commander of the military.

Our Itay was born in Moshav Hadid and a resident of Ra'anana. He was raised in a traditional home with his father Yehoshua (Shuky) and mother Dorit. He was a brother to Tomer and Guy, husband to Dafnie, and father of a 3-year-old daughter named Hailey. He was a family man and liked to bake challah with his daughter.

Itay has always loved animals, especially poultry, which he nurtured and raised from a young age at his parents' home in the Moshav. Even in his move to Ra'anana, he made sure to come and take care of them on a daily basis. Itay was a member of the special animal groups on Facebook, where he shared his experiences and the information he had gained in the field of poultry farming. Itay acquired great appreciation and friends within the hobby.

Itay was an ambitious guy, excelling in everything he did and touched. He had two degrees. He would do things quietly for others, helping and taking care of his loved ones even during the busy time he had between work and the reserves.
